Did you ever wonder what it would take to make your own worship CD? And no, I don’t mean just making a playlist in iTunes and pressing the burn button. I mean putting your own music out there.
Worship Leader Magazine has a great interview with Treehouse Productions about some of the details of making your own worship album. You should definitely check out the whole thing, but I love how they addressed the reasons why you might want to do in the first place:
Each congregation experiences their own unique seasons. Worship leaders can help their community in expressing their feelings toward God through prayerful worship. It is also important because a congregation can remember and reflect back on past seasons. Songs are a great altar of remembrance to remind us of what God has done and will continue to do.
If you’re writing your own worship music or thinking about starting, this is a great article to read.
