How do you assess whether your team is on-mission or not? How can you tell if they feel valued and appreciated? Maybe the simplest solution is to ask them.
Are you asking critical questions to determine why your worship volunteers are engaged, not engaged or actively disengaged? Part of our problem with retention is that we don’t often ask any questions at all, that is until it is too late.
David lists twelve questions that you should ask your worship team members. Here are a couple of my favorites:
- Do I know what is expected of me in our worship ministry?
- Do I have the materials and equipment I need to do this ministry well?
- Are my co-volunteers and leaders committed to quality?
