Worship is a process, not a product. Handmade worship is not perfect, and polished. Just as skilled woodworkers learn to enjoy the process of sharpening tools and working wood, we are hoping these songs are more about the process than a marketable end product.
No candlelit worship stage… no slick studio production or overdubbing…no scruffy worship leaders wearing fedoras.
About a dozen voices and a few instruments, singing original hymns and spiritual songs in an acoustically rich setting.
Is a worship album that speaks of the wonder of Christ’s love for us through what he did for us on the cross and through that we are redeemed, restored to the Father and we have a new life in Jesus. Features 11 songs perfect for personal or corporate worship. Produced by Mufaro Chifamba & Jemima Baker. Nyari Chiswo served as co-executive producer
“Sacred Longings” is a compilation of 6 original songs by Cody Anderson, written out of his role as worship leader at Faith Covenant Church in Winnipeg, MB. The songs are meant to draw the listener to Hope as well as to speak well the reality of all human longing for the Triune God. It is easy listening “folk-worship” with a hint of country flare.
This is my third full worship project and I am so grateful to God for the inspiration he has given me with each one. This body of songs came together in a unique way, most of them being misfits and stand-alones, but what really tied them all together is their passion and focus. Every song I write comes from a part of myself that cries out to God in longing and appreciation, especially when I am doing so in agreement with the scriptures. Many of these songs, in fact, are inspired by the Psalms, which is why they are so filled with adoration and reflection. I pray that this album would be a reflection of my heart to God and a chance for you, along with me, to consider again the awesomeness of His character!
Since 2000, Bo Harris has been leading worship. During that time he has grown to love music both old and new, from hymns to contemporary worship. He’s even written a few tunes himself…
The album reflects the journey Bo has taken in life, through music. “These songs are honest, true portrayals of who I am, what I struggle with, and questions I’ve asked, intertwined with scriptural references. The Long Horizon displays the pain and sadness behind human struggle while offering the substance of things hoped for…”
