Worship Is Sacrifice

Dave Wilcox explains how faithful service to the church is its own form of worship:

You come early. You stay late. You only sing on occasion because you’re focused on mixing amazingness out of the music. You can’t hear the sermon because your headset drives your steps in the “ready, take” video dance. You are working on a nap-night of sleep on account of the Moumtain-Dew-fueled re-programming late last night. And then there was the wedding Friday, the banquet tonight, and the kids camp next month.

Ever feel like it costs you a lot to serve the church? Welcome to true worship.

As Dave points out, if serving didn’t cost anything, would it really be serving? Check out the rest here.
